About the position

Taylor Residences is seeking an experienced Property Administrator to oversee and coordinate property management and operational functions within our senior living community. This role is crucial in ensuring that our affordable housing community operates smoothly and meets all regulatory compliance requirements. The Property Administrator will be responsible for on-site management, which includes customer service, budget review, and adherence to various housing regulations. The position requires a strong understanding of affordable housing regulations, particularly Section 8 and Section 202, as well as HUD procedures regarding occupancy, inspections, and report submissions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in community affordable housing management, with a focus on HUD housing management at an administrative and supervisory level. The Property Administrator will be expected to supervise, motivate, and train staff to develop a cohesive team that ensures quality and professional management of the community. This role also involves hands-on knowledge of TRACS processing, EIV, and HUD submission requirements, as well as familiarity with 504 requirements. The candidate should possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and demonstrate the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. The Property Administrator will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents and ensuring that the community operates in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate property management and operational functions for the senior living community.
  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, including Section 8 and Section 202.
  • Manage customer service and budget review processes.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train staff to develop a cohesive team.
  • Handle HUD housing management responsibilities at an administrative and supervisory level.
  • Process TRACS, EIV, and HUD submissions as required.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to occupancy requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in affordable housing management.
  • Experience with HUD submission processes for at least one year.
  • Knowledge of 504 requirements and HUD procedures regarding occupancy and inspections.
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team of at least five staff members.
  • Hands-on experience with OneSite software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Occupancy Specialist Certification preferred.
  • Experience in memory care facilities.
  • Familiarity with building maintenance.
