About the position

Chubb Risk Engineering is seeking a dedicated Property & Casualty Risk Engineer specializing in Industrial Hygiene. This position is primarily work-from-home (WFH) based, with travel requirements of up to 60% depending on geographic location. The role is integral to our mission of providing comprehensive industrial hygiene support to our clients across the United States. As part of a team of over 550 property, equipment breakdown, and casualty engineering professionals, you will play a crucial role in helping clients develop and implement solutions that enhance their risk management, compliance, and sustainability objectives, ultimately contributing to their financial success. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field industrial hygiene assessments at client facilities, providing fundamental support to resolve issues of limited complexity under the guidance of principal-level industrial hygiene professionals. You will be expected to write detailed technical reports summarizing the data and findings from your assessments, ensuring submission for quality review within 30 days of completing the assessment. Maintaining high ethical standards is paramount, as you will be required to uphold client confidentiality and respect privacy issues at all times. Responsibilities

  • Provide fundamental industrial hygiene support to resolve issues of limited complexity under the general direction of principal-level industrial hygiene professionals.
  • Conduct field industrial hygiene assessments at client facilities.
  • Write technical reports summarizing the data and findings of your field assessments and submit for quality review within 30 days of the end of the assessment.
  • Maintain high ethical standards commensurate with the profession, ensuring client confidentiality and respect for privacy issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial hygiene or related field, or two to three years of industrial hygiene field experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits and ACGIH Threshold Limit Values.
  • Ability to evaluate, interpret, and recommend actions/solutions for problems of limited complexity.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present moderately complex technical information to all levels of personnel and management.
  • Effective organizational skills necessary to handle multiple tasks in demanding, often new, environments with tight and changing schedules while providing high-level customer service and good follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a broad cross-section of people, including effective interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues with tact, discretion, and mature judgment.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; other languages are a strong plus.

  • Previous consulting experience is a plus.
