This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry while contributing to the financial security of individuals and businesses. As a Claim Representative Intern, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate the claims process during challenging times. Your responsibilities will include investigating and assembling facts related to claims, determining policy coverage, evaluating the amount of loss, and analyzing legal liability to make informed decisions on whether to pay or deny losses. In this position, you will become familiar with various insurance coverages by studying insurance policies, endorsements, and forms. You will work towards the resolution of claims and may have the opportunity to attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary. It is essential to ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner, as you will be servicing the needs of agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will handle investigations through various channels, including phone, mail, and on-site visits, which will enhance your communication and analytical skills. This internship is designed for students who are currently enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college.
