About the position

The position at American Family Insurance Claims Services (AFICS, Inc.) involves handling homeowner property field claims, primarily working from home and in the field. Responsibilities

• Investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, agents, attorneys, and other relevant parties.
• Handle 1st party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conduct on-site inspections and evaluate damages as needed.
• Negotiate claims with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on claim status.
• Interpret and apply policies, leases, and contracts to assigned losses.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Experience handling 1st party claims across operating territories or equivalent experience.
• Experience handling moderately complex claims or equivalent experience.
• Solid knowledge of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages.
• Understanding of each phase of the claim handling process.
