CIS Group is seeking a 1099 Property Insurance Inspector to conduct field underwriting inspections primarily at residential homes. The role involves taking photos, gathering property data, and uploading information using a smartphone or computer. Inspectors will typically perform exterior-only inspections, although some may require interior photos. This part-time, contract position offers flexibility in scheduling and is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income while being their own boss.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field underwriting inspections at residential properties.
- Take photos and gather property data during inspections.
- Upload collected information via smartphone or computer.
- Perform primarily exterior inspections, with some requiring interior photos.
Requirements
- 1099 Independent Contractor status (be your own boss).
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must own a reliable vehicle.
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
- Access to a fairly recent smartphone or tablet capable of taking and storing photos.
- Access to a computer with Wi-Fi.
- Good communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Workers' compensation law.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
