About the position

The Maintenance Repair Technician position at Ad-West Realty involves performing various maintenance and repair tasks for apartment complexes. The role is essential in ensuring the safety and functionality of the properties managed by the company, which specializes in affordable housing. The technician will be responsible for both minor and major repairs, inspections, and maintaining good public relations with the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major maintenance and repairs for two apartment complexes, including door locks, plumbing, and caulking.
• Conduct inspections of vacated and occupied apartments to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Maintain outdoor lighting and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain swimming pool if applicable.
• Replace baseboard heaters, switches, thermostats, and appliance parts such as oven and water heater elements.
• Maintain good public relations with the community by conducting all property activities in a professional manner.
• Be on call for emergencies such as fire, electrical issues, or flooding.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior maintenance or repair experience for a multi-unit property or professional organization is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle with insurance coverage.
