About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Property Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of our apartment buildings and common areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general repair and maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the physical structures of the complex are well-maintained and functional. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC tasks. As a Property Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for addressing maintenance requests from residents and ensuring that all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Your duties will include replacing and repairing leaking pipes, toilets, faucets, and showers, as well as performing regular plumbing maintenance. You will also handle electrical tasks such as replacing faulty switches and outlets, tracing short circuits, and installing new light fixtures. Additionally, you will be tasked with HVAC responsibilities, including troubleshooting hot water boilers and replacing thermostats. Carpentry work will also be a significant part of your role, which includes replacing door locks, repairing windows and door frames, and performing drywall patching and painting. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with residents, contractors, and other team members. A strong commitment to customer service and a positive attitude are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair physical structures of apartment complexes and common areas.
  • Perform general maintenance duties including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, handyman, and HVAC tasks.
  • Replace and repair leaking pipes, toilets, faucets, and showers.
  • Perform electrical duties such as replacing faulty switches, tracing short circuits, and installing light fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC systems including hot water boilers and replace thermostats.
  • Conduct carpentry work including replacing door locks, repairing windows, and drywall patching.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in general maintenance (2 years required).
  • General knowledge of heating, boiler, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with apartment buildings is a bonus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
