About the position

MY SALON Suite TX is seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. This role is essential in providing facility maintenance support across multiple locations, specifically catering to our luxury salon suites. As a Property Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, reflecting the quality and luxury that our brand represents. This is not a typical 9-5 job; the position requires flexibility and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will handle a variety of maintenance tasks, including make-ready services for salon suites, which involve patching, texturing, taping, floating, and furniture installation and removal. You will also be responsible for light electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and plumbing tasks, including preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and tankless water heaters. Your ability to respond quickly to emergencies and perform general maintenance tasks will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in multiple trades but also possesses excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. You should be trustworthy, punctual, and reliable, with a commitment to leaving every space better than you found it. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a willingness to take on various duties as needed to support our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide facility maintenance support to 3-8 stores per district in a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Perform make-ready services for luxury salon suites, including patching, texturing, taping, floating, and furniture installation and removal.
  • Conduct light electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work as needed.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, tankless water heaters, and general plumbing/hair traps.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as necessary.
  • Complete other duties as required to support facility operations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in property maintenance with a focus on multiple trades.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior fast-paced, make-ready experience.
  • Experience with Class A finishings.
  • EPA Certification, Plumber's apprenticeship, or Electrician's apprenticeship.
