About The Position
The Property Maintenance Technician at 5 West Group is responsible for ensuring the functionality and upkeep of various systems within the properties managed by the company. This role involves performing maintenance on electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, as well as cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels. The technician will also maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure they are operational and will inspect alarm systems, such as fire protection systems, scheduling repairs as necessary. In addition to these responsibilities, the technician will conduct manual repairs when needed, which may include fixing locks and replacing windows. General upkeep procedures are also part of the job, including tasks such as painting and carpentry. The technician will be responsible for maintaining the curb appeal of the properties, which includes tasks like trash pickup, dumpster clean-up, and overall property cleanup. It is essential for the technician to keep work areas clean and organized, assist with weekly inventory and ordering, and ensure that all apartment homes pass HUD and Brightpoint inspections. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to quality service, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards.
