About the position

The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs at various facility locations, including commercial and residential properties. This role involves responding to service requests, conducting property inspections, and managing materials and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks. The technician will also engage in light construction work and minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responding to service requests and work orders at commercial facilities and residential properties.
• Performing light construction work including drywalling, framing, texturing, and painting.
• Conducting non-licensed electrical and plumbing work such as changing lights/ballasts and minor plumbing tasks.
• Carrying out minor HVAC work, including filter changes and assessments.
• Conducting property inspections and drive-by assessments to evaluate work needed.
• Reporting work assessments to supervisors or lead technicians.
• Picking up supplies and materials for jobs as required.
• Meeting with contractors to review completed work and follow up on projects.
• Managing tools and supplies to ensure necessary items are available for job completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial building experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic technical skills, including the ability to manage emails and perform occasional computer work.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of construction experience (preferred).
