About the position

The Property Management Specialist at the Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration plays a crucial role in safeguarding the American transportation infrastructure. This position involves managing the logistics of property acquisition, deployment, and disposal, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing support to TSA programs across various locations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret policy and provide support to TSA programs for purchasing and deploying accountable property.
• Manage the logistics management record keeping system for tracking shipping, receiving, excessing, and disposal of equipment.
• Provide customer service and collaborate with TSA internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness of property management policies.
• Develop and maintain warehouse procedures and processes, including monthly reconciliation and property transfer processes.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status.
• Minimum age of 18 at the time of application.
• Ability to complete a favorable Background Investigation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• DOT/IATA, Hazardous Materials Shipper or Radiation Safety Officer Certification.
• Forklift Operator Certification.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-F (GS-9) level in the Federal service.
