About the position

The Property Manager at HoM Flats is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multi-family properties, particularly those under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. This role emphasizes maintaining high-quality living environments, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and fostering a positive community atmosphere for both residents and staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, sales, and customer service skills, along with a commitment to safety and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, supervise and direct the daily activities of all on-site staff.
• Inspect all vacated and made ready apartments to ensure timely preparation for new residents.
• Conduct training for staff as needed and create a cooperative work environment.
• Maintain resident relations and address complaints regarding service and lease provisions.
• Collect rent, maintain account records, and ensure timely legal actions for evictions when necessary.
• Conduct effective marketing and communications to promote the property and its services.
• Implement resident retention programs and organize lease renewal processes.
• Review affordable housing compliance paperwork and ensure adherence to regulations.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in property management, specifically with LIHTC properties.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team and residents.
• Effective communication skills with site and executive teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Nice-to-haves
