About the position

The Property Manager III position at Bahkita Gardens Catholic Community Services is an advanced role focused on managing affordable housing properties. The role requires demonstrated experience in overseeing multiple buildings, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and meeting key performance indicators related to occupancy and property finances. The manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations, staff supervision, tenant relations, and fiscal management, while also providing training and support to staff across various properties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall day-to-day operations of a multi-family residential community.
  • Supervise onsite operations staff, including Maintenance Technicians and Custodial Staff.
  • Screen, hire, onboard, and train new personnel following company guidelines.
  • Monitor staff performance and address any issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety practices.
  • Conduct tenant recertification and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Manage resident relations and respond to complaints and concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and implement procedures to ensure efficient workflow and accurate administrative paperwork.
  • Oversee financial processes including budgeting, rent collection, and vendor relations.
  • Coordinate with supportive services to bridge operations and services functions.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Property Management experience.
  • 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience with multiple funding sources (HUD, Section 42, Tax Credit or other Affordable Housing).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet key performance indicators in Property Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Washington's landlord-tenant law and federal fair housing law.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with property management software such as Boston Post, MRI, Avid Exchange, and Net Vendor.
  • Experience in fiscal management and accounting.
