About the position

The Property Manager will oversee a portfolio of residential and mixed-use properties in Brooklyn, NY, ensuring effective management and operations. This hands-on role requires full engagement in day-to-day activities, including managing construction projects, tenant communications, and compliance with real estate laws and regulations. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a portfolio of approximately 60 small to midsize properties in North and Central Brooklyn.
• Oversee multiple construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
• Communicate effectively with tenants and senior management regarding property issues and updates.
• Maintain knowledge of Department of Buildings, ECB, HPD procedures, and real estate laws.
• Address emergency issues promptly and be accessible via phone and email at all times.
• Develop and maintain a network of suppliers and vendors for property management needs.
• Utilize property management software such as Yardi and AppFolio for efficient operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of property management experience.
• Experience in construction management.
• Strong understanding of DHCR, Section 8, rent-stabilization, and rent-control regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and property management software (Yardi, AppFolio).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Driver's license required.

• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
