About the position

The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a multi-family property in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role involves ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, managing resident relations, and maintaining high occupancy rates. The Property Manager will also handle financial aspects, including rent collection and budget management, while leading a team of administrative and maintenance staff to achieve property goals.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunities requirements
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll and commissions
  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
  • Consult with legal counsel and attend court hearings as needed
  • Advertise and promote the property
  • Utilize industry-specific software for lead management
  • Provide tours to prospective and current residents
  • Complete full cycle lease process with prospective residents
  • Ensure compliance with renter's insurance
  • Review rental rates and concessions with Portfolio Manager
  • Maintain resident occupancy of 95%
  • Ensure timely collection of rent and other ancillary revenue
  • Manage delinquency process
  • Manage petty cash account
  • Manage and process vendor invoices
  • Generate renewal offer letters and manage renewal leases
  • Monitor expenditures to keep in compliance with operating budget
  • Manage turnover workflow including scheduling and management of vendors
  • Engage with prospective and current tenants using a professional approach
  • Reduce tenant turnover by identifying tenant relation issues
  • Complete quality assurance calls following up on completed work orders
  • Guide performance of all administrative and maintenance staff
  • Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in multi-family property management
  • 1+ years of experience in staff supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Yardi Voyager and CRM experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and resolve conflicts

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Yardi software
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
