About the position

The Leasing Agent at RightKeys Realty LLC is responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a positive experience for prospective tenants while adhering to relevant regulations. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of property management, and the ability to handle legal and administrative tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage up to 125 units within 3-4 subdivisions in Edinburg, Alton, Shary Manor, Weslaco, and Mission.
  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants, highlighting features and benefits.
  • Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, including screening applicants and preparing lease agreements.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Crew for any maintenance requests submitted by tenants.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of property management practices and local housing regulations, including Section 8 and LIHTC guidelines.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates and enhance tenant satisfaction.
  • Address tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts professionally, ensuring a positive living environment.
  • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records, processing applications, and managing lease renewals.

Requirements

  • Spanish language proficiency is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Real Estate License is required; employer will sponsor license with TREC.
  • Previous experience in property management or real estate administration is preferred.
  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record in upselling or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with legal administrative processes related to leasing agreements and tenant rights.
  • Experience in conflict management and resolution is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance procedures is an advantage.
  • A background in working with low-income housing programs such as Section 8 or LIHTC is beneficial.
