About the position

The Property Manager / Leasing Manager will oversee the leasing, marketing, and compliance of residential and commercial properties in the Los Angeles area, including Burbank, Glendale, San Bernardino, and Adelanto, CA. This role offers flexible scheduling options for both part-time and full-time employment, focusing on tenant relations, property maintenance, and adherence to compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants.
  • Conduct property tours and manage tenant applications, screenings, and lease negotiations.
  • Create engaging listings and advertising campaigns across various platforms to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Serve as the primary contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive tenant relationships.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with tenant standards.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including fair housing laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leasing and property management compliance standards and implement best practices.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams as needed to handle tenant disputes and property-related issues.
  • Oversee rent collection, manage delinquencies, and prepare financial reports.
  • Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and maintenance schedules to optimize property performance.
  • Ensure all properties are regularly maintained and necessary repairs are completed promptly.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors for property upkeep, renovations, and safety inspections.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in property management, specializing in both commercial and residential leasing.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Real Estate or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in compliance regulations, leasing procedures, and marketing strategies.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively handling tenant inquiries and interactions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities for overseeing multiple properties efficiently.
  • Reliable transportation for property visits and management tasks.
