About the position

The Property Manager for Student Housing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property operations, ensuring effective leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. This role requires strong leadership and customer service skills to manage tenant interactions and property maintenance while maximizing revenue opportunities through effective leasing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
  • Conduct property tours and effectively communicate the features and benefits of the property to potential tenants.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Screen and approve prospective tenants by conducting background checks and verifying income and rental history.
  • Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including inspections and security deposit refunds.
  • Address tenant concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee property maintenance, including scheduling repairs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring work is completed to satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, tenant interactions, and financial transactions.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to tenant information, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure completion, accuracy and timelines of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of property leasing practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in property management software.
  • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to negotiate resolutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing property management.
  • Social media and digital marketing experience.
  • Experience in operating/stabilizing student housing properties.
