About the position

The Property Manager is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing the onsite team at a multi-family building. This position focuses on achieving financial goals, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, maintaining the property in excellent condition, and delivering exceptional service to residents and tenants. The Property Manager acts as a coach and leader for the team, driving success through effective management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Approve invoices and manage vendor communications.
• Gather and interpret market trends to implement marketing strategies.
• Complete financial, leasing, and resident satisfaction reports.
• Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rents and fees.
• Manage financial performance and communicate changes as needed.
• Approve resident applications and conduct apartment inspections.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention through effective communication.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
• Assist in managing client/owner relationships and provide property updates.
• Lead recruiting and onboarding efforts for the onsite team.
• Oversee resident relations and ensure exceptional experiences.
• Create a unique community environment for residents.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of onsite multifamily property management and leasing experience required.
• 2 years in a supervisory role required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Technologically savvy with experience in residential software ERP systems like MRI, YARDI, or Entrada.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to implement solutions independently.
