About the position

We are currently seeking a Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our property in Fairfield, CA. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing the property in accordance with established financial and operational goals. This role requires a proactive approach to property management, ensuring that all aspects of the property are running smoothly and efficiently. The Property Manager will supervise team members and resources, ensuring that the property operates within financial guidelines and meets leasing objectives. The Property Manager will perform daily physical inspections of the property and coordinate with the maintenance team to address any issues that arise. This position requires direct supervision of all staff, including managing work schedules, delegating duties, and resolving conflicts. The Property Manager will also be responsible for interviewing and hiring property employees, ensuring that all AMC policies and procedures are upheld, and that any infractions are properly reported. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Property Manager will take on administrative duties, including required reporting and implementing a resident retention program. This may involve designing and maintaining newsletters, resident referral programs, and social activities to foster community engagement. The Property Manager will also be tasked with creating and maintaining a marketing and advertising concept for the property staff to implement. Compliance with OSHA, Fair Housing, and AMC safety guidelines is essential, and the Property Manager will investigate and report any incidents involving residents, employees, vendors, or others associated with the property.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the property within financial guidelines
  • Perform daily physical inspections of the property and coordinate with the maintenance team
  • Maintain direct supervision of all staff, including work schedules, the delegation of duties, and conflict resolution
  • Interview and hire all property employees
  • Ensure all AMC policies and procedures are upheld and infractions are properly reported
  • Meet leasing objectives by ensuring proper sales techniques are used including first-hand leasing
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion to handle and resolve resident requests or concerns
  • Take responsibility for administrative duties including required reporting
  • Implement, design, and maintain a resident retention program, i.e., newsletter, resident referral program, and/or social activities
  • Design/maintain a marketing and advertising concept for property staff to implement
  • Ensure property compliance with OSHA, Fair housing, and AMC safety guidelines
  • Investigate and/or report any incidents regarding the residents, employees, vendors or others regarding the property

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Fair Housing
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Strong communication skills
  • 1-2 years of property management experience
  • Leadership experience
