About the position

We are currently seeking a Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing the property in accordance with established budgeted financial and operational goals. This role involves supervising team members and resources effectively to ensure the property operates smoothly and efficiently. The Property Manager will perform daily physical inspections of the property and coordinate with the maintenance team to address any issues that arise. In addition to operational oversight, the Property Manager will maintain direct supervision of all staff, which includes managing work schedules, delegating duties, and resolving conflicts. The role also requires interviewing and hiring all property employees, ensuring that all policies and procedures of Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) are upheld, and reporting any infractions appropriately. Meeting leasing objectives is crucial, and the Property Manager will ensure that proper sales techniques are employed, including first-hand leasing experiences. The Property Manager will exercise independent judgment and discretion to handle and resolve resident requests or concerns, taking responsibility for various administrative duties, including required reporting. Implementing, designing, and maintaining a resident retention program, such as newsletters, resident referral programs, and social activities, is also part of the role. Furthermore, the Property Manager will design and maintain a marketing and advertising concept for the property staff to implement, ensuring compliance with OSHA, Fair Housing, and AMC safety guidelines. Investigating and reporting any incidents involving residents, employees, vendors, or others regarding the property is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the property within financial guidelines

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Fair Housing
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Strong communication skills
  • 1-2 years of property management experience
  • Leadership experience
