About the position

Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is seeking a dedicated Property Manager to oversee three historical apartment communities in the NW Portland area, which collectively house 106 units. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer service skills. The role involves managing two offices, one located at The Lafayette and the other at Highland Court, ensuring that both properties are well-maintained and that residents receive top-notch service. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the properties. This includes marketing the apartments, maintaining the integrity of the properties, screening prospective residents, collecting rents, serving notices, developing reports, and preparing agreements. Your ability to manage these tasks efficiently will be crucial in providing a positive living experience for residents and maintaining the reputation of CRMG. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate why they would be a great fit for this role, showcasing their skills and experiences that align with the responsibilities outlined. The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. Additionally, the Property Manager will receive a monthly cell phone stipend, parking reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement, enhancing the overall compensation package.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day property management for three historical apartment communities.
  • Market the properties to attract prospective residents.
  • Maintain property integrity and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Screen prospective residents and manage the leasing process.
  • Collect rents and serve notices as necessary.
  • Develop reports on property performance and prepare necessary agreements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and address their concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of previous customer service experience required.
  • Two (2) years of previous property management experience required.
  • Experience with Entrata Property Management Software preferred.
  • Basic experience with MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks such as collecting rent and preparing reports.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly while paying attention to detail.
  • Availability for after-hours emergencies.
  • Understanding of landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and safety protocols.
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Current valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with property management software other than Entrata.
  • Advanced skills in MS365 applications.
