About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a thorough understanding of property management practices, including compliance with Fair Housing regulations. This role requires excellent communication abilities, administrative skills, and a proactive approach to facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property operations, ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements related to property management.
• Handle lease agreements, contracts, and renewals while maintaining accurate records.
• Conduct regular property inspections to assess conditions and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants, utilizing sales techniques effectively.
• Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and concerns, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Collaborate with the facilities management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property management or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties is a plus.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in managing documentation and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with tenants, vendors, and staff.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management practices is preferred.
