About the position

The Property Manager for Flagship Communities will oversee the operations of a manufactured housing community, focusing on community management, resident retention, and daily operations. This role requires a dedicated individual with 2 to 5 years of experience in property management, specifically in managing apartments, condos, or manufactured homes. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service. The Property Manager will be responsible for selling and renting homes, as well as leasing lots to those who purchase outside of our company. This position is crucial in maintaining a positive community atmosphere and ensuring tenant satisfaction. The Property Manager will attract tenants by advertising vacancies, obtaining referrals from current tenants, and showcasing the advantages of the community. Financial objectives will be accomplished by collecting rents, paying bills, forecasting requirements, and analyzing variances. The manager will also maintain the property by resolving tenant complaints, enforcing occupancy rules, inspecting vacant units, and planning renovations. Security will be a priority, with responsibilities including maintaining security devices and responding to emergencies. The Property Manager will prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and will negotiate leases and collect security deposits from tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Attract tenants by advertising vacancies and obtaining referrals from current tenants.
  • Explain advantages of location and services and show units to potential tenants.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by collecting rents, paying bills, and forecasting requirements.
  • Maintain property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints and enforcing rules of occupancy.
  • Inspect vacant units and complete repairs, planning renovations as necessary.
  • Contract with landscaping and snow removal services to maintain property appearance.
  • Secure property by maintaining security devices and establishing precautionary policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure tenant safety.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data related to property management.
  • Negotiate leases with tenants and collect security deposits.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in property management (apartments, condos, or manufactured homes).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
