About the position

The Property Manager at CubeSmart is responsible for managing and maintaining the self-storage property while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves interacting with customers, meeting sales goals, and ensuring the property is clean and safe. The position requires a blend of customer service skills and property maintenance tasks, contributing to a positive experience for customers and the overall success of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering excellent service.
• Interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walk the property to perform lock checks and show units to customers.
• Work independently and on a team to rent self-storage spaces, sell store merchandise, and manage the leasing process.
• Accept payments utilizing the Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
• Manage invoice review and approval responsibilities within the database.
• Process invoices and manage reports and legal processes of auctions.
• Oversee the store's expense budget while maintaining store supplies and retail inventory.
• Perform daily walks of the property, clean units and the property, and open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs).
• Maintain the facility, including mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and cleaning out storage units.
• Ensure the storage facility meets company guidelines for cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

• A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation used during the workday.
