About the position

The Property Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a community, ensuring smooth operations and maximum occupancy levels. This role requires excellent resident relations and leadership abilities, with a focus on meeting leasing milestones and addressing resident concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Meet leasing milestones to ensure occupancy within required time frame.
  • Address resident concerns and requests in a timely manner to ensure resident satisfaction with management.
  • Supervise and train leasing staff to ensure they use effective techniques in qualifying and securing future residents.
  • Prepare annual budgets and income projections in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure efficiency of staff through leadership, ongoing training, instruction, and counseling as applicable.
  • Maintain community appearance and ensure repairs are noted and completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure resident files are properly maintained and compliance with all affordable housing programs is upheld.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required; College degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of Property Manager experience.
  • Excellent customer service and a can-do attitude.
  • Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Property management software applications/Yardi experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
  • Certified Property Manager (Required).
  • Real Estate License (Required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in apartment leasing (1 year preferred).
