About the position

The Property Operations Trainer at Premier Housing Management is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for property operations teams, focusing on Yardi software and property management practices. This role aims to enhance employee skills and improve business processes through effective training methods and collaboration with various departments. The position is full-time and hybrid, based in the Corporate Office in Saint Paul, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive Yardi and property management training program for all property operation job functions.
  • Write and develop training aids such as training handouts, handbooks, and guides.
  • Conduct training sessions including new employee training, virtual Teams training, and individual trainings.
  • Explore new training methods and formats to offer unique training programs that cater to various learning styles.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and incorporate them into training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal organizational policies and procedures.
  • Update PHM University operations manual with changing information and updates.
  • Assist with policy and procedures creation.
  • Effectively communicate training schedules to attendees and supervisors.
  • Monitor attendance and conduct surveys to assess training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR on new hire orientation training.
  • Work with Regional Managers and Operations teams to ensure relevant training for site staff.
  • Assess additional training needs for site property management staff with Regional Managers.
  • Coordinate with the Yardi team to maximize software capabilities and assist with updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five years' affordable property management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train a diverse employment base.
  • Good client, resident, and public presentation skills; excellent oral and written communication ability.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, enthusiasm, and team-building spirit.
  • Detail-oriented with analytical capability and a methodical approach to presenting information.
  • Ability to integrate changes effectively into existing systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to multiple locations as necessary with own transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous training experience preferred.
  • Experience with Yardi software and related platforms.
  • Experience with Outlook applications.
