The Property & Recording Data Entry Clerk position at Tyler Technologies involves a variety of administrative and data entry tasks essential for maintaining accurate property records. The clerk will be responsible for performing data entry into the appraisal software system, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and filed. In addition to data entry, the clerk will maintain personal production records and submit them to management, as well as keep spreadsheet logs in Excel. The role demands a professional demeanor, as the clerk will represent the company to property owners and the public, directing inquiries to the appropriate resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team setting, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and return calls to homeowners.
  • Open mail and process mail.
  • Prepare office correspondence, mailings, and other administrative requests as needed.
  • Perform data entry on appraisal projects.
  • Input specific information into appropriate property records within the appraisal software system.
  • File maps and property cards in appropriate sequence and location.
  • Maintain personal production records and submit to management.
  • Maintain spreadsheet logs in Excel.
  • Professionally represent the company to property owners and other members of the public, directing those with questions to appropriate resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Keen attention to detail, basic mathematics/geometry skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle administrative tasks and data entry effectively.
  • Solid PC skills, including basic knowledge of MS-Word and Excel, or their equivalents.
  • Prior data entry experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with appraisal software systems is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team setting.
  • Must be able to provide reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver's license.
