About the position

Allianz Commercial is seeking a Property Risk Engineer for our Paris la Défense office, operating under a hybrid working model. The Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) team consists of experienced engineers from various technical and scientific disciplines, providing a flexible range of risk consulting services. These services include assessments of natural hazards, fire safety, and organizational risk factors, as well as in-depth analyses of industry operations and financial exposures across all sectors. The team is dedicated to delivering tailored training plans to optimize long-term risk management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and conduct surveys to support business and customer needs.
• Assess and summarize an account's operations, exposures, and control adequacy, indicating necessary improvements.
• Provide loss control expertise to customers and business partners, ensuring high-level service and value-added expertise.
• Define services that best respond to clients' and Underwriters' needs, budgeting and preparing detailed engineering service offers.
• Prepare and propose risk prevention programs covering Property risks for clients, ensuring effective implementation.
• Visit industrial sites to analyze and report on risks, gathering relevant information and data, identifying risks, and offering recommendations to reduce risk frequency and likelihood.
• Organize visits to minimize travel costs and environmental impact.
• Draw up and present engineering reports for Underwriting teams and clients.
• Carry out technical analyses for Underwriting, managing reports from third parties and providing assessments and summaries of risks and remediation measures.
• Provide clients with in-depth reviews regarding risk prevention programs in line with APSAD and NFPA standards, with support from the Technical Director.
• Share technical risk management expertise within Allianz Commercial worldwide, participating in training sessions and promoting ARC's services externally.

Requirements

• Around 5 years' experience in engineering/loss prevention surveys, in industry or the insurance sector.
• Fluent in French and excellent level of English.
• Technical expertise in Property exposure identification and control adequacy.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to build partnerships with clients.
• Team-player attitude with the ability to share knowledge effectively.
• Adaptability to change and eagerness to stay updated with data management and new technologies.
