About the position

The Property Service Technician at Aspire MRO is responsible for performing custodian duties and various miscellaneous tasks to ensure that facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. This position is considered experienced-level and does not have any direct reports. The technician will report directly to the Facilities Administrator. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the facility, which includes moving furniture, painting, securing the building, and performing small repairs as needed. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining locks and updating them, as well as ensuring that all cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and orderly. In addition to these responsibilities, the Property Service Technician will be tasked with mopping tile and concrete floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, dusting furniture and fixtures, and disinfecting bathrooms. The role also involves replenishing supplies such as toilet tissue and soap, emptying waste baskets, and cleaning kitchen areas. The technician must report any maintenance repairs needed to the manager and ensure that all areas, including entrances and exits, are kept clean and presentable. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently while following established safety policies and procedures. The work environment for this position includes both indoor and outdoor settings, which may expose the technician to varying temperatures and noise levels. The technician must be prepared to handle cleaning supplies and tools, and occasionally work in extreme conditions. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs occasionally, and the role requires a range of movements including walking, reaching, and stooping. The technician must also be able to read and understand instructions and safety labels in English.

Responsibilities

  • Move furniture within the facility.
  • Painting throughout the facility including walls, floors, and signs.
  • Secure the building nightly.
  • Perform small repairs for the facility as needed.
  • Maintain and update locks for the facility.
  • Mop tile and/or concrete floor areas.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas.
  • Dust all furniture and fixtures as required.
  • Wash and disinfect all bathroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, and fixtures.
  • Clean all mirrors.
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed.
  • Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans daily.
  • Clean entrance and exit areas including glass, doors, and hardware.
  • Report needed maintenance repairs to the Manager.
  • Clean kitchen sinks, counters, and tables.
  • Spot clean walls and carpet as needed.
  • Secure storage areas.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Maintain and restock an adequate supply of materials and cleaning supplies.
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience as a housekeeper or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience cleaning in a corporate building setting.
