Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex supplier proposals within the Space Business Area of Lockheed Martin.
  • Execute and shape the Material Cost Estimating (MCE) efforts supporting LM Space proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering and make/buy part planners in the development and pricing of small-to-mid-sized Bills of Material.
  • Obtain price information via historical system data and/or new quotations.
  • Support system architecture efforts and enhance value through contributions to the material acquisition strategy.
  • Support reviews, fact-finding sessions, and audits related to material inputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 4+ years of professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, Contract, Proposal/Capture, and/or Category Management).
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive and organized nature.
  • Experience in or knowledge of financial aspects of proposal pricing, material planning, material estimating, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Indentured Parts List (IPL), and requirements associated with FAR 15 Certified Cost or Pricing Data.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to support fact-finding exercises as needed.
