About the position

The Proposal Application Engineer at Comau LLC is responsible for developing manufacturing processes and solutions for new automation systems business. This role involves collaboration with specialists from various departments to create efficient and competitive technical proposals in the industrial automation sector, particularly focusing on propulsion and electrification systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes and solutions for new automation systems business.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Commissioning & Site Management, and Estimating teams to create technical proposals.
• Ensure proposals are efficient and competitive in the marketplace.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Engineering or Technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial automation system experience in process engineering or proposal development.
• Experience in engineering or proposal development in Propulsion, Powertrain Assembly, Electrification, or Battery Assembly industrial automation.
• Working knowledge of CAD to develop system layouts and process flows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically (0 - 20%).

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Propulsion, Powertrain Assembly, or Electrification industrial system automation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD (i.e. Catia, NX, or Solidworks).
