About the position

The Proposal Content Editor at Renaissance plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the company's content libraries, ensuring that all materials are up-to-date, relevant, and easily accessible. This position is integral to the proposal development process, where the editor will be responsible for writing compelling proposals that respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from K-12 schools and districts. The Proposal Content Editor will collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to gather essential information and insights that will inform the proposal content. This role requires a solid understanding of proposal systems and the ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance scalability and efficiency in proposal development. In addition to content management and proposal writing, the Proposal Content Editor will utilize proposal management software to streamline the proposal development process, ensuring that all documentation meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. The editor will also be responsible for training team members on the use of proposal software and best practices in proposal development. This position reports to the Sr Manager of Proposal Operations and is essential for supporting Renaissance's business development efforts in the educational technology sector.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain the company's content libraries, ensuring all materials are current, relevant, and easily accessible.
  • Establish content management processes to engage with SMEs so that response text remains accurate and current.
  • Regularly update and revise content to reflect the latest product features, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Prioritize and categorize content to facilitate efficient retrieval and use by the proposal team.
  • Write, edit, and format high-quality proposal content used in response to RFPs from K-12 schools and districts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to gather vital information and insights.
  • Archive and maintain records of all submitted proposals and related documents.
  • Use proposal management software to streamline the proposal development process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to scale the proposal development function.
  • Train team members on the use of proposal software and standard methodologies in proposal development.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP processes, and content management, preferably within the K-12 educational technology industry.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of proposal systems and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
