About the position

Huron Consulting Group is seeking a Proposal Coordinator, Associate to join our Public Sector Sales Operations team. This remote position is integral to our efforts in helping healthcare organizations drive growth, enhance performance, and sustain leadership in their respective markets. The Proposal Coordinator will play a crucial role in the public sector enabling capabilities organization (ECO), which encompasses various functions including sales operations, sales enablement, government and policy relations, contracts management, engagement management, and engagement assurance. The primary responsibility of the Proposal Coordinator is to manage all administrative aspects of proposal development, ensuring the integrity of all proposal documentation, coordinating internal reviews, and influencing the submission of final proposals. In this role, you will be the central point of process management from the beginning to the end of the proposal lifecycle. You will work collaboratively across Huron's business units, the sales team, and content writers to develop and manage timelines and materials for multiple proposals and oral presentations simultaneously. This includes establishing the structure for color team meetings, developing timelines to meet deadlines, and escalating any risks or barriers that may arise. Additionally, you will be expected to develop and maintain proposal templates and support content writing for some proposals, ensuring that all submissions are of the highest quality and aligned with Huron's strategic goals. As a Proposal Coordinator, you will lead project management efforts to support the preparation of proposals and deliverables. This involves developing overall project plans, involving key stakeholders, facilitating necessary meetings, gathering supporting content, and communicating project status and risks. You will follow and enforce best practices for proposal development, guide stakeholders in defining deliverables, and effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely manner. Your ability to manage multiple proposals in a high-volume, quick-turn environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management efforts to support the preparation of proposals and deliverables.
  • Develop overall project plans involving all key stakeholders and contributors.
  • Facilitate necessary meetings and gather supporting content for proposals.
  • Communicate project status and risks effectively to stakeholders.
  • Follow and enforce best practices for proposal development.
  • Guide stakeholders to define proposal-specific deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate systems and tools.
  • Facilitate project status meetings including color team calls and content writer interviews.
  • Collaborate across business units to gather proposal inputs such as case studies, bios, and pricing.
  • Develop initial templates for content writers and coordinate with corporate stakeholders for necessary documentation and graphics.
  • Incorporate proposal management best practices into proposal templates, standards, and processes.
  • Maintain real-time development status of all proposal text and graphics.
  • Manage and organize proposal content and template repository.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing, writing, and coordinating government proposals preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and managerial skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to distill requirements from complex federal documents (RFPs, RFIs, federal schedules).
  • Self-starter with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals of varying work styles from every level of an organization.
