About the position

The Technical Writer III/Proposal Coordinator III position at Cannon involves assisting with the coordination, compilation, and final production of proposals, reports, papers, and awards. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and is willing to learn. Responsibilities

  • Produces and oversees production of all marketing materials required for proposals, SOQs, and presentations in conjunction with graphics specialist.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and participates in proposal kick-off meetings.
  • Assists with teaming for proposals.
  • Helps maintain collection of project photos, project descriptions, and resumes to incorporate into proposals.
  • Creates project organizational charts for proposals and presentations.
  • May schedule and participate in proposal interview preparation and strategy.
  • Assists with producing marketing materials for interviews.
  • May schedule and participate in proposal debriefings.
  • May assist with the content and production of award submissions.
  • Maintains consistency of written communications related to proposals, SOQs, and award submissions.
  • Upholds company style and branding on proposal and award submissions.
  • Helps maintain and revise government format SF 330 for proposals.
  • Attends weekly marketing department meetings.
  • Responsible for coordination, oversight, and final production of competitive proposals.
  • Manages the efforts of Project Managers, Administrative Assistants, and the Clerical Assistant to publish a proposal.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience in an administrative, writing, or proposal coordination role.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications preferred, or 6+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills.
  • Experience using graphic file types, such as JPG, TIFF, EPS, and KMZ.
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe InDesign, MS Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Google Earth.
  • Must be able to type at least 35 wpm.
