About the position

The Proposal Manager II is responsible for overseeing the entire proposal development process from initiation to delivery. This role involves managing multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements, and leading proposal reviews. The Proposal Manager will coordinate resources, develop proposal content, and maintain schedules to meet deadlines while collaborating with various functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble required resources and skills for proposal development.
  • Manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously.
  • Provide technical writing and editing support as needed.
  • Lead and participate in color team reviews according to best practices.
  • Create and execute a thorough proposal schedule, meeting all milestones.
  • Develop compliance matrices and proposal outlines to ensure adherence to solicitation requirements.
  • Oversee content design, development, and review, as well as proposal production and delivery activities.
  • Manage proposal configuration control and compliance tracking.
  • Collaborate with segment leadership and functional groups for proposal execution and compliance.
  • Tailor processes for efficient proposal development based on stakeholder needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Federal Government proposal development using the Shipley process or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of FAR/DFAR compliance for US Government solicitations.
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry with understanding of the Business Development life-cycle.
  • Demonstrated proposal writing experience with knowledge of solicitation analysis and compliance matrices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
