About the position

The Proposal Manager at ATCS is responsible for leading key proposals and presentations within the transportation engineering, construction, and Federal industry sectors. This role involves managing the proposal team, guiding the proposal process from pre-RFP positioning to interview stages, and ensuring high-quality submissions. The position requires collaboration with various teams to develop strategic approaches and win strategies for proposals, while also utilizing Salesforce for tracking and documentation purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key proposals and presentations in the transportation engineering and construction sectors.
  • Manage the proposal team and provide support from pre-RFP positioning to interview stages.
  • Collaborate with capture managers and technical teams on priority pursuits.
  • Contribute to leadership and strategic direction for proposals.
  • Evaluate marketing intelligence and develop win strategies for strategic pursuits.
  • Write and review proposal sections including cover letters, past performance, and approach sections.
  • Analyze debriefs and apply lessons learned to improve proposals.
  • Ensure quality control of technical proposals and interview presentations.
  • Support debriefs and gather client feedback on proposals.
  • Provide Salesforce training to technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of marketing/proposal experience in the A/E/C industry or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Working knowledge of the A/E industry and effective proposal practices.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • APMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
