About the position

The Proposal Manager at LMR Technical Group will coordinate and develop high-quality federal proposals, ensuring compliance and responsiveness from initial receipt of the RFP to final delivery. This role involves collaboration with various business lines and management to create winning strategies and concepts of operations tailored to customer needs. The Proposal Manager will lead the proposal development process, manage timelines, and integrate feedback to produce persuasive proposals that meet federal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop complete, responsive, compliant, and high-quality federal proposals.
  • Establish a proposal timeline from the release of solicitation to submission.
  • Write major proposal sections and edit inputs from others.
  • Integrate color team feedback into clear and persuasive proposals.
  • Lead the development of requests for information, market surveys, and white papers.
  • Assess and identify opportunities to improve existing proposal management processes.
  • Prepare proposals with a thorough understanding of evaluation criteria and winning strategies.
  • Coordinate and edit proposal sections from various contributors to create a cohesive document.
  • Communicate proposal-related requirements and status with senior management.
  • Maintain a database of previous proposals to facilitate development of new proposals.
  • Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract content details for proposals.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures for proposals.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience in proposal writing and management; 2-3 years of experience writing for Federal government contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field; or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong business writing skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a team environment.
  • Expert skill with Microsoft Office software for proposal production.
  • Prior experience in RFP response and proposal development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Documentation of Shipley Associates certification in Proposal Management and Proposal writing.
  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
