About the position

The Proposal Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the bidding and contract negotiation processes within the Energy industry. This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure proposals meet company standards and objectives, leveraging expertise in systems integration and process analyzers to create competitive and comprehensive project proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze bids for various projects within the energy sector, ensuring all proposals meet the company's standards and objectives.
  • Lead the negotiation of contracts, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal terms.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive price quotes, utilizing knowledge of the industry and market trends to provide competitive proposals.
  • Implement understanding of systems integration and process analyzers to aid in the development of effective and efficient project proposals.
  • Develop and maintain Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (PNID), contributing to the overall quality and accuracy of project proposals.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, to analyze data and generate insightful reports.
  • Respond to RFQ's in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all information provided is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Manage all aspects of the bid, coordinating with technical, financial, product management, and risk review teams to ensure all elements of the proposal are aligned and consistent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Energy industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing bids and negotiating contracts.
  • Proficient in bidding and preparing price quotes.
  • Solid understanding of systems integration and process analyzers.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (PNID).
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's.
  • Proven ability to respond to RFQ's in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage all aspects of a bid.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
