About the position

At Relativity Space, we are on a mission to revolutionize the aerospace industry and pave the way for humanity's future on Mars. As a Propulsion Design Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in our Propulsion Integrated Design team, focusing on the Aeon-R engine. This position involves the overall layout, design, analysis, and build of hardware for our propulsion systems. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including propulsion, vehicle, manufacturing, integration, and testing, to ensure the successful development of the Aeon-R and Terran R rockets. Your designs will be informed by fluid, thermal, and structural analytical models, and you will be responsible for weighing engine assembly layouts against critical factors such as weight, cost, lead time, and part count. In this role, you will be expected to thrive in an environment of ambiguity and take the lead on your projects, driving them to completion. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver on ambitious schedules and meet the growing demand for launch capacity. This is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology and additive manufacturing alongside a community of passionate and creative individuals. Join us as we work together to transform our vision into reality.
