About the position

The Propulsion Engineer 4 - Installations Analysis position at The Judge Group Inc. in Everett, Washington, is a critical role focused on ensuring that the airplane configuration and test procedures align with necessary requirements. This position requires collaboration with Flight Test engineering and Test Integration teams to facilitate successful test execution and compliance with regulatory standards. The engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for compliance in their area, working closely with Engineering Unit Managers (E-UMs) and supporting organizations to develop and implement effective certification strategies. In this role, the engineer will coordinate with various engineers and suppliers to swiftly address flight test learnings, ensuring that any issues are resolved efficiently. The position involves frequent presentations to Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Program Leaders regarding test-related issue resolutions, planning, and results. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for presenting compliance proposals to Program, Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), and potentially to FAA/EASA representatives. The responsibilities also include authoring and revising ground and flight test plans in collaboration with Flight Test Analysis counterparts, as well as creating compliance documentation. The engineer will support ground and flight test activities as a Propulsion test witness, ensuring accurate test execution, real-time troubleshooting, and monitoring of critical test parameters. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of propulsion systems during testing phases, contributing to the overall success of the aircraft development process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Flight Test engineering and Test Integration to ensure the airplane configuration and test procedures meet the necessary requirements.
  • Act as the focal point for compliance, collaborating with E-UMs and supporting organizations to develop and execute a successful certification approach.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other suppliers to respond quickly to flight test learnings.
  • Present test-related issue resolution, planning, and results to IPT and Program Leaders.
  • Present compliance proposals to Program, ODA, and possibly FAA/EASA.
  • Author and revise ground and flight test plans in coordination with Flight Test Analysis counterparts.
  • Author compliance documentation.
  • Support ground and flight test activities as Propulsion test witness, ensuring accurate test execution, real-time troubleshooting, and monitoring of critical test parameters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in propulsion engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of flight test procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with FAA/EASA certification processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
