HII's Mission Technologies Division is seeking a motivated mid-level engineer with experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBS) to contribute to the planning and development of a variety of digital engineering efforts supporting our Fighters and Advanced Aircraft and Bombers Directorate contract at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering principles, with a focus on model-based methodologies through either academic courses or hands-on utilization of MBSE tools. This role involves collaboration with Program Managers, Senior Engineers, Stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts to define and document capability requirements. The engineer will create and maintain system and process models using industry-standard tools such as Cameo, participate in system definition activities, and assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Additionally, the engineer will support or lead MBSE efforts on multiple programs, soliciting stakeholder needs for MBSE implementation and serving as a liaison with clients to ensure their needs are met. The position also includes responsibilities such as working with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating these requirements into detailed specifications, and verifying their alignment with overall project goals. The engineer will identify potential risks related to propulsion system development and integration, develop strategies and models to mitigate these risks, and contribute to the development of long-term roadmaps for propulsion system technologies. Evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to inform roadmap planning and decision-making is also a key aspect of this role. The engineer will maintain accurate documentation of system models and requirements, prepare technical reports and presentations for project stakeholders and leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, program/project managers, and military personnel to communicate technical concepts and progress updates.
