ENSCO has an immediate opening for a mid-level systems engineer with experience in aircraft propulsion systems. In this role, the candidate will directly support the Propulsion Acquisition Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, providing system design, development, integration, and test products, as well as subject matter expertise on a wide variety of aircraft engines for the US Air Force. The candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total aircraft propulsion systems. As part of the candidate's primary duties, they will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical and engineering principles. They will perform functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications. The application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles will be essential to speed innovation, increase operating efficiencies, and assist in the development, integration, and certification of complex systems. The candidate will participate in the System Engineering life cycle, which includes requirements development, architecture development, system analyses (reliability, maintainability, etc.), integration and test planning, and system verification. They will employ various testing, analysis, and modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance, applying requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems, and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
