The Propulsion Systems Engineering Intern will work on new projects involving both the SR2X and SF50 platforms. The Systems Engineering team works on several aspects of the aircraft; the area of work for a Systems Engineering Intern could include CAPS (Cirrus Aircraft Parachute System), Mechanical Systems, Pneumatics Systems, Ice Protection System, Powerplant Installation, and Fuel Systems. This internship will be onsite in Duluth, MN from May 2025 through August 2025. The intern will work directly with the Product Development Team, which includes Engineering, Experimental, Flight Test, Airworthiness, and others to create engineering deliverables. Possible work includes development test plans; engineering work orders; engineering analysis; CAD modeling and drawings; or test instrumentation/test article preparation. This position reports to one of the three functional managers in Systems Engineering, either Mechanical Systems, Propulsions Systems, or Pneumatics Systems. Cirrus Aircraft aims to create an internship and co-op program that provides a meaningful and valuable experience for students, while also fulfilling the needs of the organization. The program includes networking events, professional development opportunities, and concludes with the opportunity to present work to senior leadership.
