About the position

The Prospect Development Program Manager is a strategic and dynamic professional responsible for implementing a robust prospect management program of the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU). This role requires a blend of analytical skills, creativity, and a passion for advancing fundraising strategies in alignment with the long-term goals of both organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive prospect management system.
  • Provide detailed analysis on managed prospects and unassigned pre-prospects across all giving levels to identify and capitalize on opportunities for prospect pool growth.
  • Develop comprehensive donor profile briefings for leadership and administration, ensuring that all relevant data is accurately represented and actionable insights are provided to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Actively participate in the administration and configuration of the Blackbaud database, partnering with the Manager of Philanthropic Services and other team members, to conduct regular quality checks and updates to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with development officers from OLOL Foundation and FranU, as well as the Manager of Philanthropic Services, to strategically determine prospect assignments and monitor the progression of prospects through various fundraising stages.
  • Collaborate with development leadership to assess and recommend strategic adjustments to portfolios, maximizing performance and prioritization.
  • Manage development team schedules and anticipate activities that support cultivation. Coordinate meetings and maintain records related to activities and donor interactions, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency.
  • Create, present, and analyze reports that inform fundraising strategies and track activities and tasks towards organizational goals for OLOL Foundation and FranU.
  • Extract and analyze data to create tailored reports that meet the specific needs of OLOL Foundation and FranU, including conducting portfolio reviews, measuring engagement, and identifying new prospects.
  • Proactively suggest and implement innovative methods to maximize data utilization in understanding donor behavior, thereby enhancing fundraising efforts and increasing donor engagement.
  • Develop compelling narrative reports, detailed profiles, prospect alerts, and various data visualizations as needed that effectively communicate insights and trends, facilitating informed decision-making among stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of donor trends, funding interests, and other relevant factors to support the assessment, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation processes.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of fundraising, prospect research, or a closely related field; Strong competencies in areas such as data analysis, relationship management and communication may be used for candidates who do not meet the minimum requirement.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong background in data analysis, particularly with Blackbaud, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Superior project management skills with the ability to analyze and synthesize information while maintaining acute attention to detail.
  • A strong value for collegiality and teamwork, with the ability to work collaboratively across organizations and their departments.
