About the position

The Prospect Research Analyst at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's fundraising efforts by conducting in-depth research on potential donors. This position involves developing and implementing strategies for prospect research, identifying new donor prospects, and analyzing data to inform donor strategies. The Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders and present findings to Development leadership, ensuring that the Conservancy can effectively cultivate its largest and most strategic donors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospect research to identify and evaluate potential donors.
  • Analyze and interpret data to prepare donor briefings and generate reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support fundraising efforts.
  • Present biographical research and recommendations to Development leadership.
  • Maintain knowledge of systems and procedures related to prospect research.
  • Stay updated on trends in wealth, philanthropy, and conservation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in principles and practices of prospect research and management.
  • Proficiency with current resources and technology in prospect research.
  • Experience analyzing data and preparing donor briefings.

  • Experience researching principal gift-level prospects in a non-profit environment.
