About The Position

The Prospect Research Manager at Strive International Inc. is responsible for identifying and analyzing potential donors and prospects, managing research profiles, and supporting the Development team in fundraising efforts. This role involves synthesizing data from various sources to inform donor solicitation strategies and enhance moves management processes. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to prospect identification and a strong background in fundraising research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a fundraising environment.
  • Strong knowledge of research and wealth screening tools.
  • Experience with database applications for prospect identification.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in creating organized donor profiles.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Blackbaud/Raisers Edge/NXT.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with APRA is preferred.
  • Comfortable with cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects and analyze wealth and giving capacity.
  • Prepare and present research reports on individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Conduct research using web-based tools and STRIVE's CRM database.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries to assist in fundraising strategies.
  • Oversee strategies for rating prospective donors.
  • Determine metrics for portfolio management and cultivation efforts.
  • Develop templates for assessments and reporting mechanisms.
  • Use the CRM system to track newly identified opportunities and assign them to staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolios to ensure effective engagement with prospects.
