About the position
The Prosthetist and/or Orthotist Clinician at Hanger, Inc. is responsible for providing comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care to patients. This role emphasizes improving patient outcomes through clinical expertise, innovative technologies, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The clinician will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care, all while being supported by a large network of professionals and resources.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
- Implement treatment plans and follow up with patients to monitor progress.
- Collaborate with rehabilitation team members to provide comprehensive care.
- Custom design, fabricate, and fit prostheses and/or orthoses for patients.
- Provide care under the direction of certified clinicians if not yet certified.
- Participate in practice management and operational support.
Requirements
- Certification as a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist (CPO, CO, CP) or Board Eligible status.
- Strong clinical and technical skills in prosthetics and orthotics.
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a clinical setting with a focus on patient care.
- Familiarity with innovative technologies in orthotics and prosthetics.
