About the position

The Protective Technology Branch Operations Manager at ManTech is responsible for overseeing protective technology services at U.S. embassies and consulates globally. This role involves maintaining operational situational awareness, coordinating missions, and ensuring effective execution of tasks within the Protective Technology Branch. The manager will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be pivotal in supporting the Special Programs & Joint Initiatives (SPJI) / PTB Operations program.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to keep the PTB Chief informed of operational requirements and synchronization efforts.
  • Maintain situational awareness of the PTB sections' operational tempo and associated requirements.
  • Coordinate with PTB sections to ensure operational requirements are accurately captured and tracked via the PTB digital dashboard.
  • Conduct regular operational coordination meetings and provide data for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements per the PTS contract.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify current tasking and develop program objectives.
  • Create task execution plans and synchronization matrices for efficient execution of PTB level missions.
  • Track tasks, deliverables, and Requests for Information (RFIs) monitored at the PTB level.
  • Lead collaborative efforts across the branch to support mission requirements and project charters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of technical and related experience in management and technical support for IT or communication systems.
  • Previous experience supporting the Department of State.
  • Capability to plan, coordinate, and monitor higher-level operations for CONUS and OCONUS missions.
  • Ability to manage project schedules and deliverables to meet performance objectives.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior operational experience within the Interagency or for a company supporting government operations.
  • Experience briefing senior leadership on operational tempo and requirements.
  • Experience with CMMS (5 Years).
  • Experience with Material Management (2 years).
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS to support PTB operational requirements.
