About the position

The Protein Manufacturing Technician at Vibrant-America Clinical Laboratory plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of proteins and antibodies for diagnostic testing. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the establishment of laboratory processes and standard operating procedures during the company's rapid growth phase. The role requires technical excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems with laboratory instrumentation and assay systems as needed.
• Design, develop, and manufacture proteins/antibodies required for diagnostic testing.
• Work with Process Engineers using Silicon wafer technology and implement unique chemistry for New Product Development.
• Design and perform experiments to support Protein Extraction/Immunoassay Assay Development efforts.
• Test and validate new products released on the diagnostics platform.
• Monitor and perform preventative maintenance for machine performance.
• Verify and keep meticulous and organized records of specimens, tests, instrument logs, and technical analyses.
• Prepare and organize all necessary reagents according to SOPs.
• Maintain lab facility in a clean and orderly manner through effective communication with researchers, engineers, and support staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with detailed procedures ensuring safety.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet timelines.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented and conscientious.
